“I never lose. I either win or learn.”  

This quote from Nelson Mandela says it all. When we are “glass half full” optimists, we don’t let setbacks freeze further action, and most importantly don’t ignore the “why” behind them. Whether something we are in control of or not, there is always a lesson that can help us modify future behavior and improve our odds. As important, recalling the “whys” behind a win will propel future gains even more than the motivation gained from remembering how good it feels.
