Create a learning culture

We all receive feedback of some sort each day, whether from a boss, partner, colleague or even a social media post. How we feel when we get that feedback determines a lot on how we respond to it, and the longer term impact on our actions. If we feel defensive, shamed and most importantly, do not understand it, we are more likely to disregard it, or worse lose confidence in our ability to improve. When the feedback is specific and situational, constructive and encouraging, we are more likely to be open to receiving it, know what to do with it, and learn from it with a positive outlook. We can all lead the building of this kind of culture by our own behavior - at work, at home and in our social environments.. The outcome truly builds longevity and growth.
