The value of scarcity
We all have experienced the pain and inconvenience of short supply, especially in the past few years, from things we need to live interactions we long for. However, when things are scarce - objects or experiences - we tend to pay more attention to them when we have them and feel the good fortune of our possession. Instead of taking for granted, we more consciously capture the gratitude of receipt. Living life with more awareness of what we do have always leads to more optimism about what’s to come.
